Re-inventing the Opposition- Voting Differently

The outgoing Prime Minister asked the question why vote for people to enter into an opposition and added that all one can do in an opposition is to ask a few questions here and there; ‘fode nou dan gouvernment pou nou capav fer kit chose pou ou.’ To which someone I met round the corner shop responded ‘100 zours fine passé, toujours narien apart la vie pe vine plis cher ek plis diffcile de zour en zour, mo fam malade depuis 15 mois ek mo zenfant …

General mood in L’Escalier

Lately it seems every weird silent place seems to have been converted to “baz travayis” or “baz mmm”. In every corner of the road, one could spot such places, kind of funny sometimes, since they mostly play cards there and nothing more. Its pretty much surprising that during this election unlike last election, there’s no serious bloodshed going on around in the name of politics.
